Alpana spans the rugged Heysen and ABC Ranges, which incorporate deep gorges with pine filled valleys and rocky outcrops including a section of the Heysen Trail. Accommodation at the station is of a high standard with an uninterrupted view of the Alpana Creek and surrounding hills. The accommodation sleeps 14 people.
