Travel Guide - The popular Bistro and Cellar Door at the 170-year old Glen Ewin Estate offers a relaxing and friendly location for a lazy afternoon of indulgence. Share platters, gourmet pizzas and more substantial main courses, desserts and a selection of bakery items, all made in house by head chef Simon Davie. We predominantly use locally sourced and Estate grown ingredients, making a visit to Glen Ewin Estate a not to miss experience. The Cellar Door provides tasting facilities for a number of boutique Adelaide Hills wineries, with about 20 different wines on tasting. We also provide tastings for our own range under "The Gatehouse" and "Glen Ewin" labels which are available exclusively through our Cellar Door. Besides the wines we serve a selection of unique (local) beers and ciders. Incorporated in our Bistro and Cellar Door is the retail outlet for Willabrand, gourmet fig products like glace figs, chocolate enrobed figs, fig chutney, a variety of jams and much more all Estate made and grown on our 12,000 fig trees. In season (March and April) we offer the "Pick your own Figs" programme, giving our guests the opportunity to stroll around the orchards picking the most beautiful figs.
