Travel Guide - Whilst Alexandria is mostly known as an inner city industrial suburb, the handful of restaurants and café’s around the area are growing in reputation and culinary innovation. Almost a century ago the site for what is now 4143 restaurant was a growing linseed oil mill known as James Barnes. Thanks to clever redevelopment the abandoned building has been given a modern make-over, turning it into a vibrant bar and bistro serving creative Modern Australian fare.
