Travel Guide - The Barossa Small Winemakers Centre is a showcase for wines by the Barossa's small independent winemakers. These people are the heart and soul of the Barossa, and their wines are rarely found elsewhere. The Centre features wines made by over 20 small producers from the valley. These are mostly handmade wines, produced in very small quantities by growers with small parcels of some of the finest fruit in the Barossa. Chateau Tanunda's relationship with local growers and winemakers harks back to the origins of the Chateau, which was built by a group of Adelaide businessmen keen to capitalize on the local winemaker's skills to meet demand for wine in Europe. Today, the Chateau maintains its links with the growers via the Barossa Small Winemakers Centre, carrying on a century old partnership. The centre is housed in the cellar door at Chateau Tanunda, a few minutes' walk from Tanunda. Thankful that you visited Travel Guide
